Preparation for Work
This section provides a description of the actions that must be performed before starting work with the System.
Starting and Ending a Work Session
To start working with the System, enter the following address in the address bar: http://<host address>/<site address>/Login.aspx.
The authorization window will open, in which you must perform the following actions:
- From the first list, select the user interface language.
- In the “Login” field, enter the user’s registration name.
- In the “Password” field, enter the password for the selected registration name.
- Click the Log In button.
As a result, the main application window will open. If the registration name or password is entered incorrectly, a message highlighted in red will appear at the bottom of the authorization window: “You have entered an incorrect login or password.” Repeat the authorization procedure, entering the correct name and password.
If the entered user registration name is not present in the list, contact the System administrator with a request to add it.
When the System starts, the compatibility of the site version with the database version is checked. If the versions do not match, a warning message will appear on the screen: “The site version is not compatible with the database version,” and access to the system will not be granted.
A System work session can be ended in one of the following ways:
- using the Log Out button;
- using the standard Windows window close button.
License Update / Renewal
The copyright for the System is protected against unauthorized distribution by workstation licensing. A license is issued for a specific period for each workstation. The license is bound to a workstation based on the computer’s parameters.
If the workstation parameters are changed (for example, replacement of the processor, motherboard, reinstallation of the operating system, etc.), the license must be updated.
License renewal is required when its validity period expires.
In both cases, the license replacement procedure is the same.
If the System requires a license change, the message “The number of days remaining until the license expires” will appear in the user authorization window.
To change the license, perform the following steps:
- Click the “Licenses” link. The “License Update” window will open.
- Click the Generate button. The System will generate a key containing the main workstation parameters and display it as encrypted text in the License Request Code field.
- Copy the contents of the License Request Code field and send it by email to helpdesk@servio.support. In the email, specify the workstation name and the contact person’s details.
- The message will be received by the support service, which will generate a license key and send it to the sender’s email address.
- Copy the encrypted text from the received email, paste it into the License File field, and click the Save License button.
This completes the license update procedure.
Workplace Selection
A workplace is understood as a set of equipment available to the user (cash registers, passport readers, and others). The System administrator is provided with the ability to create workplace, assign the required equipment to them, as well as edit and delete workplace.
The workplace is selected in the user authorization window before registration.
Installation Selection
An installation is understood as the operational area of the equipment (cash registers, passport readers, and others). The only criterion for dividing equipment into areas is its physical location. The list of installations is created by a support service specialist during the System installation process, and the distribution of equipment among the areas is performed by the System administrator.
Selecting the Currency for Service Payments
The System provides the ability to calculate the cost of services in different currencies. The list of currencies comes with the System configuration and cannot be removed from the System after installation. Users also have the option to add additional currencies as needed, which can later be deleted. The number of currencies that can be added depends on the settings defined in the configuration.
The currency for payment is selected in the status bar after user registration. The System interface will display the cost of services converted according to the selected currency.
